Lesson 30
You may have noticed that the feasts have much slaughter of beasts.
Also, the feasts and sacrifices go together. In Isa 1:11-14 YHWH is asking why they were sacrificing beasts to Him.
YHWH asked in verse 11 “to what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? I YHWH says…..and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. 12 who has required this at your hand…..?”
Think about this: Why did YHWH ask “what was the purpose of these multitudes of sacrifices unto me?”
Be advised: YHWH asks these questions because He DID NOT command this!
It even says YHWH does not delight in the blood of bullocks, lambs or he goats.
Be advised: When YHWH doesn’t delight in something it is because it is a transgression of the law!
Continued in verse 13 “Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me, the new moons (feast days) and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. 14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts My soul hateth: they are a trouble to me; I am weary of them”.
YHWH asked them to bring NO more offerings to Him and tells us that incense is an abomination to Him.
All the new moon feast days include sacrifices and offerings, incense and the calling of assemblies on their new moon sabbath feast days. YHWH calls these new moons and appointed feast days “Yours” and even says His soul hates them. The reason He hates them is because they are NOT of YHWH.
Again another verse to back this up is in Amos 5:21 “I hate; I despise your feast days. and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.” (Convocations)
He tells us again He hates these days and says they’re “yours.”
It is plain and simple; these days are NOT of YHWH!
This warning was given about 146 years before YHWH divorced Jacob. Jerusalem had turned to Baal worship, and it took about 146 more years for their wicked cup to run over, and then they were removed from the land. Jer 3:8
So why would you continue to do “your” new moon, feast days and sacrifices when the above verses tells you how much YHWH hates them?
The sons of Jacob were warned of this and didn’t listen and were removed from the land.
All these verses above explain very clearly that YHWH never commanded for us to do any new moons, feast days or sacrifices to Him.
